A five-minute setup. Once it's linked, every BLACKPINK & LISA vote you cast on vote.mtv.com is counted for you and logged straight to your /voting board — no more typing numbers into “Add votes.”
On blinksunited.com/voting (signed in, with a scrobbler linked) you'll see the VMA Vote Counter block. Tap Desktop for a computer, or Android for a phone. Then unzip the file you get.
Desktop — any Chromium browser (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, Vivaldi): open
chrome://extensions, switch on Developer mode in the top-right, then click
Load unpacked and choose the unzipped folder.
Android — since Kiwi shut down, use a Chromium browser that still supports
extensions: Microsoft Edge Canary (it inherited Kiwi's extension engine) or Quetta. Open its
Extensions menu and load the .zip directly. Plain Chrome and Firefox for Android can't run it.
Click the extension's icon, then Link my Blinks United account. Sign in on the page that opens — the same account you use on the site (Google / X / Discord / magic link). The popup flips to ● Linked and shows your live count.
Head to vote.mtv.com and vote for BLACKPINK (Best K-Pop) and LISA (Best Pop / Best K-Pop) as you normally would. The extension quietly reads each successful vote — a live BLINKS UNITED panel appears right on the MTV page.
Back on /voting, your counted votes are already there — no manual entry. Keep the tab logic simple: stream + vote to rank on the leaderboard. During an MTV Power Hour or Double Day, the panel and popup glow gold to remind you votes count 2×.
Reads each successful vote you cast on vote.mtv.com, vote.breaktudoawards.com and kca.nick.tv, and logs the BLACKPINK/member ones to your board. On Kids’ Choice a round only counts once you finish it — the site submits the whole round at the end.
A draggable, collapsible panel on the MTV site: today's total, a BLACKPINK / LISA split, and an activity log.
A live pulse of how many blinks logged a vote in the last 90 seconds — our community, in real time.
Panel and popup light up gold during MTV Power Hours & Double Days, when votes count double.
Opt-in: merge your counts and the voting accounts you've used across every device you enable.
It only observes votes you cast yourself — it never votes for you, so it stays within VMA rules.
Sent to your board: your vote count + the BLACKPINK/LISA split, tied to your account by a random link token.
Never sent: your email, password, MTV login, or browsing data. The Kids’ Choice vote carries a voter id of its own; that is never read, stored or sent either.
Kept on your device only: the accounts/emails you've voted with (for the 2/2 · 1/2 badges), your token, and the activity log.
Permissions — App: Internet only. Extension: storage + webRequest, restricted to vote.mtv.com, vote.breaktudoawards.com, kca.nick.tv and blinksunited.com (it can't see any other site).
It only reads the votes you cast — it never votes for you — and you sign in through your own browser, so the tool only ever receives a token, never your password.
It's open-source and installed outside the app stores, so it hasn't been through store review — the code is public to inspect, and you're trusting Blinks United.
The counter reads only your own votes — it never casts one for you. Works on any desktop Chromium browser, or on Android through one that still supports extensions (Edge Canary / Quetta) — plain mobile Chrome and Firefox can't run it. If MTV changes its vote page for a future cycle, the extension may need a small update.
